About Shooting for Peace
Shooting for Peace is a national youth empowerment program founded by Jerome “JYD” Williams and the JYD Project, Inc. The initiative uses the power of basketball, education, and storytelling to inspire underserved youth across the country.
Through partnerships with organizations like NAF, EVERFI, and The National Basketball Retired Players Association, the program teaches life skills, leadership, and financial literacy both on and off the court.
Students who engage through the Shooting for Peace App gain access to digital education, mentorship, and opportunities to participate in contests like the #FamilyBusinessChallenge, where creativity meets purpose.
